AOL Music Blog: How did you celebrate when you found out that you won ‘The X Factor’?
Melanie Amaro: I went home and got the rest that I needed! I got some sleep, but I also celebrated with family. I went back home and they had this entire thing when I arrived at the airport with posters there and lots of people were there and they took pictures and were like, “We love you!”

What is TEDx?
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxSiliconAlley, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxSiliconAlley event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

- Total mobile and tablet browsing is up. From 3.88% of all web browsing last February to 7.67% now.
